Today my students and I completed interest inventories
I said I liked NCIS, walking dogs, and reading.
I said I'd most likely watch tv when I got home.
It was a real statement, and one about which I was certain.
My students thought it cool that I watch Ziva and Gibbs.
I was glad to have regular hobbies, normal likes.
I said I wanted to become a writer. My hero,
right now, is Barack Obama. I didn't think of you
once while I was filling out the inventory.
